What We Do
Borealis Natural Gardens is an independently owned craft cannabis farm in Whitefish Montana. Our products are available at choice retailers throughout the state. At Borealis we specialize in Korean Natural Farming and living soil cultivation. Our goal is to grow the cleanest top shelf organic flower in the state. We carefully curate a menu of unique strains both modern exotics and classics that aren’t broadly available on the market. We search for complex flavors and effects in all our offerings. In this rapidly evolving industry we believe in keeping the culture of cannabis alive with a garden focused brand and a product that speaks for itself. We learned from some of the best in this field over the years and as students of the plant we continue to evolve everyday with it.

What is Korean Natural Farming?
Korean Natural Farming, commonly referred to as KNF is a type of self-sufficient farming brought to the masses by Cho Han-Kyu also known as Master Cho in the 1960’s after studying practices that have been used in Korea for hundreds of years. The focus of Korean Natural Farming is empowering farmers through producing their own nutrients and improving the soil through the culturing of indigenous fungal and bacterial microbes. Rather than purchasing nutrients from big ag or stores a higher grade of 100% organic nutrients, loaded with beneficial life are produced through fermentation.
What is living soil?
Living soil is the practice of populating and nurturing the beneficial native microorganisms in a soil system. Rather than destroying soil through the use of salt based fertilizers and chemicals, the soil is cared for through the use of top dressing, compost teas and organic inputs being added for the worms and microbes to feed off of and make available to the plants and in time improve the soil.
How we grow at borealis
We believe we are producing the cleanest cannabis flower available to the consumer in Montana. Smooth clean smoke is what KNF and living soil flower in known for, no throat burn just unique flavors from the natural oils of the plants expressing themselves. We focus on unique and rare genetics that consumers haven’t been oversaturated with. We always place quality first above yield and other factors in the garden. At Borealis Natural Gardens we produce 100% of the liquid nutrients used in our garden through fermentation and other KNF recipes. Growing good flower isn’t where the process ends, the often overlooked art of the dry and cure is where true quality can be easily lost. We dry our flower slow and cold and cure in a climate controlled environment and never release anything until the process is complete. All flower from our farm is 100% hand trimmed because craft quality should never go through a machine that beats it up.
